The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regards to the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily SRD basis. The services level designed for intervention activities a significant inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tough for SRD the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out SRD programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to permit the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
